7. Rome as a Unit
The Romans managed to effectively combine their empire into one unit because of their strong body and leadership. They also revolutionised the trading world by building and using roads. This made Rome a wealthy place because they could trade goods with their neighbors. By being involved with warfare they conquered a lot of land, therefore they had a lot of land to plant crops and such. They had a strong government led by Julius Ceasar, until he was assasinated. The Romans went from having constant warfare to empire to one big unit because of theyre diverse strengths. They had great transportation, not only for trade but the roads helped their army. Their government was solid and all this created the Pax Romana, a significant time in Romes history when everything was peaceful and great.
